I found this, which sounds like your issue:

The vast majority of commonly available ps2 to USB converters are simple passive ADAPTERS that simply change the plug shape to match the outlet. These ADAPTERS only function to connect the ps/2 wires to the approximate USB wires. Simple ps/2 to USB adapters do not use specific software drivers.

In general, most users having trouble connecting their keyboard to newer computers are looking for a ps/2 to USB signal CONVERTER. These devices use an integrated circuit (pre-programmed chip) to actively translate the ps/2 keyboard signal and convert it into a USB keyboard signal.

This allows the vintage ps/2 keyboard to be automatically recognized by the operating system as if it were a standard, modern USB keyboard. A well-designed active ps/2 to USB converter will use the built-in operating system drivers for a USB keyboard

However I can't find any of these 'signal converters' they talk about, only the adapters. Well I've got you started anyway.

So the Problem Is With The Convertor ah
I Will Change My Keyboard & Mouse

Thanks For Ur reply

Naughty of you to post the same problem on two pages of this forum!

But The New Normal did provide something of value!

also in the BIOS if there is a option for "legacy usb" try toggling it.

My pc only has USB and some verions of linux refused to detect my keyboard until i did that

may help you

I mean ... i have to Replug it After Coming to Desktop on Every start..

Please help my Friends

did you look in the BIOS like i said?

Secondly, what OS are you using
Thirdly, have you got the necessarry chipset drivers installed?

Why not just buy a USB KB and Mouse? They are relatively inexpensive and would solve your problem.

Count on me to point out the obvious...lol.

He changed his mind. In post #3 he said he'd buy a new KB/Mouse.

well obviosuly not because in 6 he says "Keyboard wORKS fINE
But Still Mouse Ps/2 to Usb Doesnt Wokrs"

Well obviously 'cos this thread's still running and he changed his mind from post #3 like I said.

Anyway find me a a USB that "Wokrs" and I'll find you a "mus" (post #1) to fit it!

Of course I have toggle USB Legacy - Enable but no Response

Okay Guys Settle down
I will Buy a Mouse

Anyways thanks 4 ur Help..........
