Hey guys, new here. :)
Anyways, lets get right down to business...
Computer: Powerbook G4
OS 10.4
Alright, so when I try to boot up, verbose mode eventually shows me the following:
INIT_Processes(), could not establish the default connection to the WindowServer.May 31 21:20:09 Macintosh-7 /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow: Login Window Application Started
This just loops over and over...
Things I've tried:
Boot to target-disk mode and repair volume -- Repair Successful
Boot to TechTool 5 DVD and repair volume -- Repair Successful
Deleted com.apple.windowserver.plist -- Still doesn't boot...so, failed?
Deleted com.apple.loginwindow.plist -- Still doesn't boot...so, failed?
Reset PRAM & NVRAM -- Reset successful
Boot to Safe Mode -- Failed
Now I would really rather not archive & install or anything of the sort.
Oh also, I think the last thing that was done when it worked was that an update failed to install. Not sure what though.
So, I'm out of ideas and would appreciate any help. I've got the comp right here, ready to go, so I can answer any addition questions anyone has.
