I have a user on Word 2000. She regularly inserts jpeg files into Word. This has worked fine in the past. Today, it would not insert the image. Instead it would just insert the image file name in place of the acutal image. I've tried inserting/copy, paste from the camera itself and from the images on the HDD itself. If you copy a picture from an existing Word document and paste into the new doecument it works fine.

Any thoughts?

Is it just one image? If so, the picture might not be in a real .jpeg format. As an example, it might be saved in a .gif format, but named with a .jpeg extension.

Update:

The problem happens with all jpeg images. They are jpegs. You can insert the picture using the Insert>Picture>From File from the menu. But the copy/paste and drag and drop functions don't work.
