Have developed a software application in VFP9. Use installrite from Epsion Squared to install the software as there are four programs in all to install and I want to make it easy for a novice user. Install works great on XP SP3, and Vista but when installed on Windows 7 the permissions on the install directory are set to deny and the files are all read only. It's easy to fix but I would like to know if there is a way to change permissions programatically as the software I have developed is likely to have a lot of inexperienced users, You know the type that don't even understand what a mouse does and think they should call the exterminatior:)
