I've been asked to build an access DB application at work to house all IP address information. Why?

We have over 500 hundred IP's available for use and seeing as all the clients here at work have access installed I was told it would be good to use. It also means they could integrate with Word and outlook. I think I should have pointed out that, I haven't done anything with access, period.

So, I went home last night and started to bury my head in my misses books. Yeah at Uni, she did access, loved it and was quite good. So she started to help me out.

Things I've noticed:

- Its crap
- An access 1997 book runs exactly the same as 2003. Hurrah Microshaft for getting something right.
- Emma seams happy to mess about with it
- I got a headache trying to look at the SQL code it produces. Bare in mind that I do MySQL. Most things are the same, but some things do change.
- Mice break when you throw them against the wall..

I'm really not looking forward to doing this. In some cases I am, but in some I'm not.
