How do I repair this?
Thanks,
JH
IE failures after a virus cleanup are usually a post‑infection side effect rather than a fresh infection: common causes are a damaged Winsock/LSP catalog, an unexpected proxy set in Internet Options, leftover BHOs/startup entries, or corrupted IE system files. is correct that a HijackThis-style log helps identify background entries; ’s LSP fix suggestion points to a very common cause. The sequence below is ordered to minimise risk and make any followup logs useful.
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset Include the following when requesting forum help so responders can act quickly: Malwarebytes (or AV) scan log, a HijackThis/Autoruns listing, the exact IE error message, OS and service pack level, and whether other browsers/networks behave the same. Also try sfc /scannow to repair missing system files (may require install media). If multiple repair steps fail, a System Restore to a pre‑infection point or an in‑place repair install normally restores IE without a full reinstall.

Yes I have using Malwarebytes. Since I am not a techy not sure I want to use HijackThis since I don't know about all the background codes and their meanings/usage.
Thanks!
Right, you don't have to be tech illiterate to use Hijack This.
Please run a system scan and copy the log it produces onto this thread so we can analyze it and see if there is anything running in the background or any unwanted registry changes.
Have you ran a scan with Malwarebytes yet? If so please post the log here too.
How do I repair this?
Thanks,

Go to Google. Search for LSPfix. Download the program and run it. It should restore the LSP Problems which has been caused by the removal of Spyware etc. I had a similar problem caused by Antivirus software sometime back.
