I thought I might repost this issue in Networking to see if anyone has a clue as to what is going on with my computer. The original Post is here:

I have yet to receive a response on the Windows 7 forum, I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on this situation.
Try to reset the modem router...or check the cable connection make sure it is plugged properly in the port of the router or in the switch....
