I don't think it needs a speaker to make the beep on post but it does sound like a power problem do you have a spare psu to test it with?

i know loads of acronyms for xp like xtra pricey but i have recently started looking at it differently when i had problems with xp and made a face similar to XP if you look at it as an emoticon. Hence i think they named it xp to be funny …

Hi the company i work for has recently updated all the windows xp machines to Microsoft office 2007 and i am having a bit of trouble. what i am currently trying to do is have an image frozen or locked to it can't be clicked or dragged around, any ideas?

no most bios have a reset to default setting i think thats what he meant?.....if not you can try that :P

Also make sure that when you installed the cpu the bios hasn't set the cpu temperature warning to something stupidly low. I've had that happen before.

There are a few things you could try easiest would probably be throwing in a spare cd drive (if you have one) and try booting from that and if that fails you could always try formating from dos.
