Do you have a wireless buttom on your Laptop? if yes put it on? or check whether your wireless card on the compaq is working well if not get a new wireless card for this laptop.

Has anyone experience this before? My computer used to send 33000 packets and recieved about 8,000 within some few minutes even though my web browser has not displayed yet. The other computer which is also connected to the same internet does not send and recieved such a number.
