If you want to see the future of vending machines, examine life in Japan. Coin-operated vending machines are a legacy item - back when I was a child, cigarette vending machines did not give change so the line up of products actually had pennies factory-sealed into the packs. You put your 30cents in and made your selection; the packs usually had 1,2,or3-cents in them (this was back when a penny was worth a penny). Oh, yeah - none of this sissy filter crap, you wanted to smoke, you spit bits of tobacco out.

What a flashback - Chesterfields, Winstons, Marlboros (was a ladies brand back then with filters 'Mild as May'; the 3 original 'Marlbor Man' cowboys died of lung cancer; "Death In the West" opens with the original MM in silhouette, on his horse - as he approaches, the detail of his OxyTank and breathing tube become apparent. In 1979, the settlement of a lawsuit had all copies of the anti-smoking film suppressed), Luck Strikes (LSMFT- often translated as Loose Straps Mean Floppy T..s), Camels, Pall Malls,

truth is: i still have issues, and i'm exceedingly frustrated by this subject

especially by the paradoxical fact that i live in the most technologically-advanced country, which seems to be always on the verge of being taken over by a bunch of superstitions chicken bone shakers.:(

The 'bone-shakers' in Texas have won another round. To put it in perspective; Texas considers itself a single school district and therefore it is the single largest purchaser of textbooks in the US; so what the Texas School Board decides it wants in its textbooks are, de facto, what every other school district will get in theirs because textbook publishers do not want to have to print different versions. Rather than tell you what happened, I will point you to the discussions.

Yeah, the U-6 is probably way more accurate considering these:

Should we exclude people from the "official" unemployment numbers that want a job but can't find work?

Should we exclude people who have given up on finding a job completely?

Should we exclude people who are willing and able to work full-time, but are forced to take part-time jobs because of the poor economy?

There are other considerations to keep in mind, such as that the US has one of the highest imprisonment rates in the world and it is probably a good guess that many of them would be unemployed if they were on the streets (this might be a stretch but worth thinking about).

I saw those pictures 40+ years ago. There is really not a thing we can do to help them because the dictators in Africa don't want us to help them. Every time we (USA) send food over there the dictators steal most of it.

Actually, us sending them food is part of the problem - we should send them the seeds and supplies to support themselves but the giant agri-businesses want us to buy their products here and waste money on shipping the food to them when it would be about 1,000 times more efficient to buy the food there supporting their agriculture helping them to become self-sufficient

end of the universe ?

What are you asking? What is your point?

Try to implement something that helps other ppl. For a example think how many ppl today is without the lack of food ?

"Without a lack of food"? what does that mean?

I think I can tease something from this - you think that the Voyager rockets contain nuclear fuel and you fear that they could have destroyed the world and that and something about orbit calculations and margins of error.
