You should ask the hospital about the entities... plus, doctor should go before nurses...

I agree too, but if its just 1 person (if not 2) out of the 1,019,767 users they should just private message you... but then again, i did mention it was my opinion :)...

(I also am thinking that they are trying to promote other forums...)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I personally believe that this thread is a complete waste of time... There was no use of it. If a correction was to be made/wanted to share his "meaningful" opinion, he should have sent Dani a private message and discussed it with her.

I vote (yes i said it) that we should end this article!

I am used to finding gwam... so i too have the habit of hitting backspace a lot espicially when finding my WPM

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

okay, i will read it and try it out then I'll update my progress!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I am sorry, I got that code from the recaptcha site itself

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

i get this from eHOW (this specific snippet)
Here is the link: Click Here

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I've heard that Coca Cola had about a million fake likes on their page, do you think that is true?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Though this is out of topic, i found this snippet of code that gives me a feeling that the code that I have isn't properly formatted.
I found this code:

<div id="recaptcha_widget" style="display:none">

<div id="recaptcha_image"></div>
<div class="recaptcha_only_if_incorrect_sol" style="color:red">Incorrect please try again</div>

<span class="recaptcha_only_if_image">Enter the words above:</span>
<span class="recaptcha_only_if_audio">Enter the numbers you hear:</span>

<input type="text" id="recaptcha_response_field" name="recaptcha_response_field" />

<div><a href="javascript:Recaptcha.reload()">Get another CAPTCHA</a></div>
<div class="recaptcha_only_if_image"><a href="javascript:Recaptcha.switch_type('audio')">Get an audio CAPTCHA</a></div>
<div class="recaptcha_only_if_audio"><a href="javascript:Recaptcha.switch_type('image')">Get an image CAPTCHA</a></div>

<div><a href="javascript:Recaptcha.showhelp()">Help</a></div>

</div>

<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/challenge?k=publickey">
</script>
<noscript>
<iframe src="http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/noscript?k=publickey"
height="800" width="250" frameborder="0"></iframe><br>
<textarea name="recaptcha_challenge_field" rows="3" cols="40">
</textarea>
<input type="hidden" name="recaptcha_response_field"
value="manual_challenge">
</noscript>

And when this was on the site, it showed a message saying that the form wasn't formatted properly... that may set some clues doesn't it?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Wow... for 5-10 minutes.... if only I could do my 74 WPM for at least 5 minutes... I don't get tired afterwords, I just get lazy because I start to get sick of get every single key right word by word... unless we are calculating GWAMS here :)

In my school, i figured out how to cheat the softwares that calculate your gwam... so i ended up getting 200+ :)...

What i did was simple... I knew that the software calculates your gwam based of how quickly you type in the specific time period in which you type. So i waited for the time to drain until there was like 10 seconds left, and then i bursted in typing :)... And the teacher never questioned me... well she did but it felt more complementing. :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Well here is my code that I am using for recaptcha:
Here is my private:

   <?php
  require_once('recaptchalib.php');
  $privatekey = "privatekey";
  $resp = recaptcha_check_answer ($privatekey,
                                $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"],
                                $_POST["recaptcha_challenge_field"],
                                $_POST["recaptcha_response_field"]);

  ?>

Here is my public:

        <?php
          require_once('recaptchalib.php');
          $publickey = "publickey";
          echo recaptcha_get_html($publickey);
        ?>

Are these right?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Oh that makes much sense about the likes... but how do sites like quibids even manage to gain the rights to sell ipads for like 10 dollars?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I noticed a few sites that offer services such as cheaper products and likes on your page...

So for the cheaper products site like quibids.com, how do they even get those products or are they fake?
And how do those sites that offer 10000 likes for $25 work, how do they even give you likes?

This maybe a meaningless article, but hey... it is a question (or 2).

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Diafol.... wanna switch fingers :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

No i attempted it, plus i am still searching, but i can't solve it at this very moment. I found a few things that could've worked but it didn't, I at first thought that my keys were wrong, but they weren't or I pasted their (recaptcha) code wrong... But like i said, I am still searching.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

So, I installed the recaptcha into my site... and I don't know why it doesn't verify... You can submit the form with out worrying about the code you have to type in so that recaptcha verifies the form.

So... I have a form that shows recaptcha, but it doesn't verify... how do i fix this?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Are you sure about that? I have been around since march 2012.... I have posted about 413 posts... and that was a few months ago (I am on actively every day).... and if I was around just as long as you... I garuntee I wouldn't have more than 10,000 posts...

You think you don't post as much as you use to :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

40 WPM on manual typewriters... if you change the keyboards... that's really fast when you think about it :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

oh, that makes a lot of sense...
Honestly... i think its really nice and the cool part is that it gives you statistics at the end... i was ranked beyond average :)....

Speaking of that, how do you think a WPM of 74 is for a high school freshman?

Have a great Birthday! For the 30th time :D

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Well... the purpose of this site is to gain answers and resources... I have had accounts for many sites/forums/blogs/etc. and they could never answer my questions... So that is why I am here with DANIWEB, you can gain answers from them (users) within hours or at most 2 days but if you compare them to others... you'll never get anything answered.

Well, 76 if you round it

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

by the way... you have 75.83X more posts than I do lol :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Oh, if its good, please update us... I am actually kind of interested in some windows material/software...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Yay, I beat the daniweb typing average! i scored 74 :)... is that good for a High School freshman?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANI!... How does it feel to be around for 3 Decades? Quite a milestone in life don't you say? Enjoy your b-day!

Quick question.... is a GWAM the same as WPM?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

They are also selling adobe softwares.... so lets tell them too?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I think Adobe should know about them...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Lets hope Microsoft reads the report... Unless they ignore...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Who did you report them to? Microsoft or to the law!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

(They are probably frauds)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

How about we solve this discussion... lets give Microsoft a dial :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I like the Assassin Creed series, COD series, Battlefield series, and crysis!

But i am thinking about watchdogs and hitman...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

By the way, is it any good?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I should try it out... I'm not much of a Windows sort of user, but I may give this a try.

Hi, and welcome

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

show us your code... its too hard to tell what line 13 is...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

HI, and welcome to <DANIWEB>!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Well... before I ask... what is your experience in web designing?
For starters... you should know html5/css3 (obviously) plus you should know some jQuery, PHP, and some MySQL for some of the backend material (except you use jQuery to do some of the things like making sliders, menus, etc.).... That being said...

Do you have a site that you are trying to "copy" in a way? If so, use your web inspector tools (firebug is a good one). That will help you design the page (which is what your article is titled) but to build the functions... that'll involve some thinking but lucky for you, we are here to help you with the backend materials (such as datamanipulation and storing as an example)!

Personally, I think its best for function first than design... but hey, it's not the same for everyone.

If you have any more questions, ask away!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

wait... are you saying I have to put all of lines 1-6 in side of the <table style=''>... But anyways... I thought that since this is the web page that gets displayed, I didn't have to put it there... but your solution makes sense!

But do you have a solution for my original question on how to adjust the columns width?
Can I take a php variable such as $name and make it a css class like this: name {width: ##;}?

Thanks for your quick response! :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I have a table that uses some php to populate it, and I am having trouble adjust each individual column width (based on their headers)... Can someone tell me how to do that?
(i.e) Name column is 30px width, last name column is 50px width, comments is 100px width

<style> table {width:100%; border-collapse:collapse; border:3px solid red; font-size: 10px;}
        td {font-size: 10px; border: 1px solid blue;border-collapse:collapse; text-align: left; width: 50px; padding-top: 1px; padding-left: 1px;}
        th {background: #ffb300; text-align: left; padding-top: 1px; padding-left: 1px; font-size: 10px;}
        tr:hover {color: red; font-size: 10px;}
        .dark {background: #ffb300;}
        .light {background: #ffb300;}
</style>

<body>

<?php
echo "<html><body><table style=''>";
$f = fopen("csv.csv", "r");
$trcount = 0;

while (($line = fgetcsv($f)) !== false) {
        $trclass = '';
        if ($trcount%2==0)
                          { $trclass=' class="dark"'; }
            echo "<tr".$trclass.">\n";

    $tdcount = 1;
        foreach ($line as $cell) {
                $tdclass = '';
                if ($tdcount%2==0)

                       { $tdclass='class="light"'; }

                echo "<td ".$tdclass."style='padding:.4em;'>" . htmlspecialchars($cell) . "</td>";
                $tdcount++;
        }
        $trcount++;
}
fclose($f);
echo "</table></body></html>";
?>

hmmm..... placing transparent div tags about images... that seems clever and I know exactly how to do that! (I've done it before on accident on my menus)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Welcome Timo!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Well for question 1.... users and subscribers can be the same, but that'll vary on what they are recieving... are subscribers recieving special notifications and are users getting more capabilities to use your site....

Question 2 has a interesting answer... It'll vary on why the registered as users... really that is just up to do people uses your site (maybe they liked something that was featured for users and maybe your site features the same features for users and subscribers). Another solution on why they don't open your emails is that they could've placed your emails in spam or they are bots (mostly likely not bots)...

I hope this information helped!
If you have more questions... ask away!
