Hello all
If Linux is open source any one can know where the password are stored and if they are encrypted any one can decrypt it using source code. I am only familiar with paragent.com . its an open source project and works well for our company.

Thanks john for the replies. It has been a confusion for me which exists with my lifelong. I was only familiar with paragent which is an open source which i can modify to my requirements.Anyways thanks for the reply once more.

Linux is such a closed program and no one can decrypt it. There are many other open sources which we can modify to our requirements. i checked paragent and we can modify its source code.

Linux can be decrypted but windows are programmed in such away that no one can modify it. Considering the open source that you referred paragent, the source code can be modified according to our wish.
