What do you mean exactly by network operating system and distributed operating system?

network operating system is distributed operating system. If a system is networked, it must distributed on several connected parts/hosts/nodes.

However, most distributed systems are not built on the OS level, rather, they are implemented by some kind of Middle Ware or Application level software.
