Hello all,

I tried to open my MS Outlook 2010 and couldnt open it. I started scanpst and it showed me: "The Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool does not recognize the file <filename>. No Information can be recovered."

Does anybody have a fix or have any suggestions?

Starting with a new pst-file
If you cannot recover your pst-file anymore, then you must create a new pst-file to be able to start Outlook again. You can do this via the Mail applet in Control Panel.

By using the “Data Files…” button, you can add and remove pst-files to your Outlook mail profile. In this case, you’ll need to add one and set it as the default.

If this fails as well, then you should recreate your mail profile entirely.

If Scanpst.exe cannot repair the file, you should restore it from backup. When no valid PST backup is available, you may use Recovery Toolbox for Outlook.
