hello! am an computer engineering student, & these days engaged in a project, the front end tool is vb.net 2008 & the back end tool is oracle10g... am using windows xp as OS.... the reason i need your help is, am not getting option of connecting oracle10g.. i guess, oracle10g is properly installed in my system... then so am not able connect it... kindly help me out.

I had some success using the Oracle Data Access Components.
Just install and add a reference to Oracle Data Provider for .NET 2.0 10.2.0.2.20.
Then, add the line Imports System.Data.OracleClient.
