Well this is interesting for those who have images ( external) in their reports.
I have an app that shows the jpg without any issues on Vista ( home basic)
32 bit.
Same app on Windows7 pro does not allow the jpg to appear in the report.
I switched the jpg to jpeg and guess what? Now the image appears in the report and not the red X.
Bitmaps ok, no issues with that except that on vista is would not export to excel. Yet on W7 it does. PDF exported the bitmap on both OS.
Ok, so please anyone tell me where I can get info on all the supported image types MimeType
for the reportviewer for 2008.
The images appear in the application without any issues, it's just the reports RDLC that's not showing up.
