I have recently started a new unit in college called Event Driven Programming, I eventually changed campus and not many teachers here know alot about Visual Basic. I can create simple programs and I am getting my head around the syntax but some questions in the assignment are quite confusing such as...

a) What is service oriented driven program.
b) What is a time driven program?
c) What are event handlers?
d) What are trigger functions?
e) Write about events e.g. mouse, keyboard, form.
f) Write about event loops.
g) How flexible are event driven programs?
h) suitability for graphical interfaces.
i) simplicity of programming?
j) ease of development?

If someone has really good knowledge of this could you please assist me on where I can get more information, I tried searching around the internet but I can't find any good explanations.

I am currently using Visual Basic Pro 2010, if someone could assist me on my coursework it will be appreiciated.

Thanks :)

You need to read books for all those beginners level questions.

Do you reccommend any books in particular?

Beginning Microsoft Visual Basic 2010
Thearon Willis, Bryan Newsome

Professional Visual Basic 2010 and .NET 4
Bill Sheldon, Billy Hollis, Kent Sharkey
