Hi,
I am having problems with TCPIP coding on VB6. I have a timer which checks for connection. This timer is set to a minute.Everytime the timer code executes the entire application freezes. It performs normally after the connection checking loop. One last thing to mention is I am connected to 20 different computers and check for the connection every 1 minute. There is no lag in sending or receiveing data. Any advice will be helpful.

I got round to it by putting in a refresh button which the user clicks. So it wont interfere with the application. I have some info about pipes but these seem to take longer than TCPIP connections. Any other suggestions?
