I want a button which when clicked opens a windows explorer window then the content of the file that I choose should get copied to the text area on that page...
I have extensively searched but could not find anything ...

What are you trying to do with the loaded file? Edit it like in the wordpress theme editor?

You mean load the text from the db then open a window and the text appear in the text area?

I think it's just base query to fetch the data from the db. I think something like this you should have learn by now.
