Hello Community, I was wondering if there is an 4th Gen iPod adapter for an iPod 5th Gen. So I can use my 4th Gen iPod stereo on my 5th Gen iPod.

At just half a cubic inch in volume, 1.62 inches long, weighing half an ounce and coming complete with a built-in clip and little else to spoil the minimalist aluminum design, the smallest digital music player on the planet goes on sale this coming Friday. The surprising thing about this announcement is that it comes from Apple, which has until now pretty much ignored the clamor to be the smallest in favor of being the most popular. Yes, this is the all new iPod Shuffle, which as well as laying claim to that smallest ever title is also fighting hard …

What is the battery life of iPod Touch (3G)? Is proper that when play music on it the battery percentage increases instead of discharge? I don't know if this is a fault or something. Again is it advisible to use insomnia on iPod?

There is a black spot on the top part of my ipod touch. The day before, I dropped it into water. To try to fix the water damage, I put the ipod into the oven at 170 degrees and left it in there for about 2 hours. After I took it out, the ipod seemed to work fine except the black spots were there. Any slolutions?

Created app to run checklists for employees and rewards for customers. I am wondering if possible to mount the device for anti-theft reasons. The "iPod Touch Anti-Theft Mount" would be nice. For a retail solution. Looking for something pretty and semi-permanent. I want to be able to remove the device undamaged. Ideas guys?

All the news and social media feeds seem to have overdosed on one story this week: will The Beatles be on iTunes after the big Apple 'Rock and Roll' event today? News at eleven: I don't give a stuff, and here's my top ten reasons why.

Most people would rather have an iPod with a camera than an iPod with The Beatles.
Reality check: the only people who are really getting their knickers in a knot over the possibility of Beatles music on iTunes, unfortunately, would be we the media. It doesn't take long to fill up a 16GB or 32GB iPad with stuff, but what do you do when that data storage capacity is reached? Apple has not opted for an upgradeable storage option with the iPad, for reasons which escape me to be honest, so if you find yourself hitting the limits you may think your only option is to discard data or take the plunge and upgrade to the 64GB iPad. The former is far from ideal, the latter far from cheap. However, there is an alternative in the shape of the Kingston Digital Wi-Drive which goes …

Apple and Microsoft have not had a lot of good press lately, but in spite of the issues both companies have faced, their quarterly reports released this week showed two companies that are still extremely profitable. Microsoft Comes Through In spite of giving up on the Kin and a mobile strategy that seemed in shambles, Microsoft rode the wave of its old chestnuts, Windows and Office, to a very profitable quarter. They reported a "record fourth-quarter revenue of $16.04 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2010, a 22% increase from the same period of the prior year." Not …

In a press release issued today, a new website and service is introduced that moves us one step closer to human-device equality. Yes, now you can marry your iPhone, iPod or iPad. Although it may seem like an April fools joke, the website www.MarryYouriPhone.com is actually a clever way to attract new potential subscribers to iPhone Life Magazine. I know that many people have programed for the Ipod, and have used a lot of different languages, but I can't figure out how to use python to make apps. I understand that I need an interpreter, but I don't know where to find one. Also, how do I import modules? I want to do this without jail-breaking, hacking, unlocking, or whatever you want to call it. Thanks in advance, lucksoar

22 Year old, Jon Lech Johansen who previously hacked DVD encryption in his teens has now hacked through the iPod copy protection. This copy protection stops iPod users from playing downloaded music from online music stores other than iTunes. This "copy protection" also stops music that has been bought off iTunes from being played on other devices (apart from the iPod). His company now plan to license the code to businesses who can use it to make Apples downloadable music play on their devices and to allow themselves to sell downloadable music that will play on the ipod. So the …

Unless you have been living in a cave you cannot have failed to spot that the iPhone 4 is with us, 'don't hold it like that' antenna problems and all. But what about the iPod Touch 4? Traditionally, the new iPod is launched in September and the new feature set is kept pretty secret. Well, as secret as it can be when you consider that it is inevitably based around the upgraded iPhone handset that has gone a few months before it. But this year, according to UK gadget site Pocket Lint at least, the new features cat is out …

It has been a long time coming, but the e-book reader had finally arrived. Oh, I appreciate that there have been many stabs at e-book hardware including the Nook and the efforts from Sony, not to mention the claims of iPad fans and Apple with that iBooks app and iTunes App Store integration. Oh, and not forgetting Amazon's own previous efforts with Kindles 1 and 2 of course. The trouble is, frankly, none of them have actually done the job well enough for me to take them seriously enough to consider replacing my paper book reading habit. Some have been …

Apple has had something of an exciting couple of weeks, it has to be said. There was the announcement of the iPhone and the predictable if misplaced media frenzy that accompanied it. Misplaced because, let’s face it, do we really need another smartphone even if it can play music which, in and of itself is not exactly new. Sure, the design looks good as you might expect, but design and practicality are often poles apart and I will reserve judgment on the latter until I have actually lived with the thing for a few weeks myself. Then, before the ink …

Hey guys, Who's been following the Apple Event today? It's being live-blogged on Engadget FINALLY wireless printing for the iPad, which is practically the only reason I got the iPad in the first place lol. Really been waiting on that one especially. Plus confused about multi-touch on the new super-small iPod Nano devices. It's hard enough to do multitouch on the iPod Touch/iPhone b/c the screen is so small and it's cramped. How could you do multitouch on something so much smaller?? http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/01/live-from-apples-fall-2010-event/?sort=newest&refresh=10

Netflix subscribers who also happen to own an iPhone or iPod touch are now able to stream content to their devices over 3G or WiFi, a feature reserved for iPad users until yesterday. The app is available for free in the App Store for members, but obviously requires a subscription, starting at $8.99 for mail service with streaming included. Users are technically getting this as a perk, so Netflix isn't expected to support their entire Watch Now catalog. Viewers are limited to films from distributers that have agreed to support mobile devices. Relativity Media is one such studio, and in …

A rather reputable source has tipped off the Economic Daily News in Taiwan that a 7-inch iPad could be in the works for a holiday release this year. iLounge first reported the tip in early August, albeit with a potential release date in early 2011. Another Taiwanese pub, the Digitimes, also reported last week that manufacturing companies have begun production of the 7-inch iPad model. On Wednesday, Apple confirmed that it was issuing a special, although mysterious, invitation only event to give a few lucky members of the media a sneak peek at some of the latest Apple releases.
