It's amazing how many dirt-poor redneck Republicans cry out against Obama's supposed socialism (though most of them probably don't even know what socialism is), while the so-called "conservatives" they vote for continue to shovel more and more of that wealth they're so concerned about into the hands of mega corporations and politically connected cronies, fund the government on credit, and pass the bill on down to future generations.

If you forgot already go and re-read your post in the moderators only section where you explained your beef against those that post in political threads. Yeah, that thread where you talk about who you would ban if you could.

Since the privacy assured in the Moderator's section has obviously been compromised by one of your friends, here is my post, read it and tell me where the bad stuff is:

We have discussed 'The Dude' here before, and came to the conclusion that he is no fool, just a fun member of the lounge.

After all, the lounge, particularly the geek's lounge, is there to be relaxed, not get all hated up with political excrement.

I do enjoy international contributions in the lounge, since we are an international community. Well, there is jwenting, our pervasive sourpuss, killjoy, curmudgeon or whatever, giving us the Dutch view of the world. I have no problem tolerating him.

We have banned folks whose only purpose is to insult other members fairly religiously. I am not sure why I am posting this, since I don't even have a light hearted ban at this moment. Old age makes mellow, I guess.

Let's ban vegaseat for being weak and mellow!

Here is an invitation to you Mr. Aia, find something nasty in there and tell me, and I will gladly resign from my Moderator position!

Enough of this name calling already, please. It has been observed that many of the Geek's Lounge threads on debatable topics like Politics are taking a nasty turn which comes in the form of name calling, giving out negative reputation etc.

Let's keep this discussion a healthy one which everyone can enjoy reading; any more fights and this thread is a goner.

Just because someone proclaims they are a Christian doesn't mean they really are. You wanna see what his preacher is like? Didn't he preach a sermon with these words: "Not God bless America... no, no, no. God **** America." - And this is coming from the man that Obama has followed for 20 years.

I'm not getting into religion again on this site. Besides, this thread isn't about religion, it's about politics.
