Joe is a good man, Catholic too, says it like he sees it!

Now if you are from Arizona, your business experience, if any, is probably in real estate, and the declining value of the suburban real estate market is directly correlated to the price of gas to get there and the cost of electricity to run the AC. You want cheap energy if you live in Arizona. But if you make steel in Pennsylvania, furniture in North Carolina, or work in the maquiladoras across the border, you may notice that jobs are coming back, that companies like IKEA are looking for factory sites, that stuff imported from China is not as cheap as it once was.

Rationally priced gas can put America back to work, but they don't see that down where the economy was built on cheap energy and real estate development rather than making things. They just say "drill here, drill now" and screw everyone else. "

Investigate Big Congress, Not Big Oil

Who Is Really Responsible For The High Price Of Gas?

When Congress exercises poor judgment and micromanages U.S. energy policy, the unintended consequence is that they actually hurt the people they always profess to be help. Indeed, Congress constantly blocks and obstructs every effort of the United States to become more productive and less dependent on foreign oil, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

For example:

• Over the last 28 years, Democrats in Congress and a few Republicans have again and again opposed our drilling for oil in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR) when we knew it contained at least 10 billion barrels of oil we could be using now.
• During the past 31 years, Congress repeatedly prevented us from building any new oil refineries that we now badly need.
• More recently, congressional Democrats defeated and discouraged any bill that would let us drill in the deep sea 100 miles out.
• Since the 1980s Congress has continually stopped all building of nuclear power plants while France, Germany and, yes, Japan, plus 12 other major nations, did build plants and get 20 percent to 80 percent of their energy from wise and safe nuclear plant investments.

Does Congress really think Middle America's voters are so gullible that they will believe that its latest answer to increasing our supply of oil and gas is to slap a 25 percent windfall penalty tax on oil companies and remove all other incentives for oil companies to drill and explore for oil? It's wake-up time for America. Maybe we should investigate the blame-throwing investigators in Congress, says IBD.

You are implying that old rich folks did not inherit their money but earned it themselves?
Then you are implying rich young kids inherit their money.
Both are logical fallacies or at the very least incomplete because it leaves numerous other possible combinations.

Then you somehow bring in Osama bin Laden who both inherited his fortune and also make a fortune on his own before er, entering politics.

Then you bring in Barak Obama who is not wealthy, did not inherit wealth but earned a good living and married someone who is not wealthy nor did she inherit her wealth but earns a good income.

And you did not mention McCain who married his wealth; his wife did not earn her wealth, she inherited it.

Many of the now-old rich farts actually inhereted their wealth from their parents. The Rockefellers and Hiltons are just two of many such examples. On the otherhand, the richest man in the world (or was anyway) Bill Gates earned every cent of his money, but he certainly isn't "old" (except to a teenyopper).
