Just as the title says, the IPhone 3.0 software is now available, just open itunes and select "Check version update" on the iphone. Currently I downloaded my update in about 3 minutes.

This is a little off-topic, but I'm not totally getting how the iPhones are much of a security improvement (partially because apple has been tight-lipped about it). Previous versions already had essentials like wifi encryption and browsing capable of recognizing EV SSL certs, so are the updates mostly regarding hardware? Anybody well-versed on the enhancements?
