Hi Dick, welcome to DaniWeb

Thanks Davey

Welcome to Daniweb!

Thank you.

If you want a good book that explains how to move from VB6 to .NET , and has parts about ADO.NET then i would reccomend the "Step By Step" books by MS Press

Thank you. I already have it (By Halvorson).

Yeah i thaught that book was excellent

Right now I am working on two different books:

1. Beginning Visual Basic 2005 Databases
2. Murach's Visual Basic 2005. This one covers a lot more than Visual Baic 2005 Step By Step. The only thing is that the begining is more into the mechanics than actual coding.

Dick

i have a book from MS press specifically about Ado.Net with relation to access and mssql databases i highly recommend it (its got a tool on the front, like the step by step ones do, i forget its name)

Thanks, I'll look into them.
Dick
