We just got fiber installed to four of our school buildings and are using a 3Com 5500 switch to connect them. I'm trying to setup inter-VLAN communication between the buildings to help relieve some of the broadcast traffic. We run a Border Manager proxy server that has four nics for the internet, DMZ, private, and Air Conditioning networks.

Here is a diagram of my network setup. The ip routes are listed also.

VLAN 30 is "live" right now with all the buildings on that VLAN sharing the 10.30.x.x subnet. I'm using a computer on VLAN 20 and 60 to test connectivity before going live with this. I'm able to ping hosts from VLAN 20 to 60 and vice versa, but not from VLAN 30 to 20 and 60 and vice versa. Border Manager is the default gateway for all hosts on the VLAN 30. If I change the gateway to for a host on VLAN 30, then I am able to ping VLAN 20 and 60 hosts, but still cannot access VLAN 30 from VLAN 20 and 60.

The networks outside of the Cisco 1000 router work fine so they really aren't part of the problem, I just put them on the diagram anyhow.

Hopefully I listed all the information that's needed to help me figure this out. If I am missing something please let me know I'll fill you in. I'm sure that I am missing something simple, but it's not coming to me atm.
