Hi,
I work at a company that is about to open two new branches. I am in charge of some IT tasks, like computer maintenance. For the branches that are going to be far away. What could be the right way to access those computers remotely?

- Remote Desktop. The computers have Windows Vista Home and it doesn't work
- VNC, LogMeIn... I wouldn’t like to ask the user to open that software because I going to check the computer. Also I wouldn't like to open ports in the firewall.

I would like something safe that I can set up in the computer and that let me access it without any user authorization and without spending a fortune on it.

I appreciate any ideas

Thanks,

Are you able to pay for software???

You can try Teamviewer....

Cohen

webex or logmein.

but if you have the branches connected via p2p vpn, you can simply use RDP or VNC

Yes, There is a program called Radmin that is good... or VNC is just as good.

Yeah home can only be a RDP client, not a server.

VNC and logmein are your only other real options
