Web 2.0: the future of the web or just another excuse for over-optimistic VC funding and all the dotcom bubble dangers that brings?
Considering I just added some social networking features to DaniWeb ...
But is social networking really Web 2.0? Which leads me to a supplemental question: what do you see as Web 2.0?
Personally I tend to think of it as being an online application/service driven thing primarily.
I think a big part of Web 2.0 is social networking - Blogs, MySpace, LinkedIn, etc. Things that make the web so interactive that you start to take traditional interactions and digitize them in front of a mainstream audience. Isn't that how O'Reilly and CMP Media originally said when they coined the term?
