what is a bad registery entry and how do you id such an entery?
There are a lot of registery cleaner programs out here that will scan and list your registery, just ran one on this machine and it founf 19hunderd invalid entry, it did list them but I couldn't tell a bad entry from a good one. That's the reason for this question.

Theres a lot of different reasons for bad registry entries.. most are from programs that you delete, and remain in your registry.. or the programs are not very robust, and they store unneeded keys in the registry.. or viruses.. etc.
