I think most of what was written is good advice. My main reservation is regarding purchasing link backs - this can be a risky strategy from 2 angles.

1. the sites you are linked back from may not be appropriate/ not guarenteed quality etc. (so the nature of the site)

2. You don't want to get banned by google who may take offence at this kind of viral marketing
