Both are equally obnoxious and I don't like unsolicited phone calls or unsolicited text messages. Phone calls are more irritating and interrupt me. SMS messages are frustrating for people who pay for incoming text messages.

Typically I'm the type of person (being in the advertising industry) who responds very well to solicitations.
