Everything's gone grey!!

@asif49 solved the immediate problem by restoring the file to a full‑color document. That is the usual cause when an image suddenly looks grayscale: the document is in a monochrome color mode or has lost its color channels.

For future troubleshooting and safe fixes:

• Keep a backup before converting modes so you can revert.
• Verify the Channels panel shows separate red/green/blue channels after switching to full color; if only a single channel exists the image will stay monochrome.
• Converting a grayscale file to an RGB mode does not magically recolor it — it simply allows color edits (painting, gradients, adjustment layers) to work normally.
• If colors still look wrong after conversion, check embedded color profiles and convert/export using sRGB for web viewing to reduce cross‑platform shifts.
• Also rule out layer/adjustment issues: a Hue/Saturation or Color Fill layer set to a luminance/luminosity blend, a hidden color channel, or an active mask can make artwork appear grey even though the document is in color.

Quick workflow to avoid surprises: duplicate the file, convert to a full‑color mode, confirm RGB channels are present, then make color edits. For final output, export to the appropriate color space (sRGB for screens, CMYK for print) and embed the profile when possible.
