I used to have an RCA DVD/VHS recorder which copied both ways as well as captured and recorded the TV Cable signal. It died! I bought a Samsung DVD/VHS recorder which works fine but has no tuner and therefore does not allow me to record the cable company signal being fed to my OLD TV through Coax. The TV has RCA Jack INPUT only. I bought the Samsung assuming a new TV would eventually allow me to record the cable signal. Is this correct? Also, since the TV just doesn't seem to want to die, is there anything inexpensive I could add to the mix to allow me to record the cable signal with my existing setup?
