Brief summary: reported a China-sourced E71-style handset that won’t accept WAP/GPRS codes. Imported or clone phones often use different menus or firmware that can hide or block carrier provisioning, so the usual fixes are troubleshooting the SIM/APN first, then isolating the handset.

Steps to try (in order):

  1. Confirm the SIM has an active data bundle or GPRS enabled (check account status with the carrier).
  2. Swap SIMs: put the suspect SIM into a known-working phone, or put a known-working data SIM into the E71 clone. That isolates whether the SIM or the phone is at fault.
  3. On the phone look for the mobile-data or access-point menu (often under Settings → Connectivity / Network / Data accounts). Make sure the phone is set to use the correct SIM for data on dual-SIM models.
  4. Manually add an APN entry. Typical fields to fill (carrier will provide the exact APN and any credentials):
Name: Any label
APN: <carrier APN>
Username: <leave blank unless supplied>
Password: <leave blank unless supplied>
Authentication: PAP or CHAP (or none)
Proxy / Port: leave blank unless operator gives them
MMSC / MMS proxy: only needed for MMS

Save the profile, restart the phone (or toggle airplane mode), then test a simple page load.

  1. If the handset rejects OTA or USSD provisioning, request the operator resend the “internet/GPRS settings” over SMS (many carriers can push settings that must be accepted).
  2. If APN menus are missing or locked, firmware limitations are likely. Avoid random firmware flashes—seek a known, trusted update or use a different phone.

Notes tied to earlier replies: as implied, carrier settings are central; as warned, support for China-import models can be limited, so prefer a supported handset if reliable mobile data is required.

It all depends upon the service provider of your mobility.Generally they did not have it the Phone settings of China Phones. And for Wap,settings of your Phone model must be available to Service provider.Communicate to your Provider if they have a setting or not.also Try to find settings in web.

never bought a phone in china, bad quality, no support!
