Hi there. I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. Bought brand new in 12/2006. I recently had to replace the power cord due to a new puppy :icon_evil: I got the new cord and ac adapter kit and plugged in the laptop. (NOTE: IT WORKED FINE THE NIGHT BEFORE USING THE REMAINING BATTERY LIFE) It immediatley started beeping loudly and after a few minutes it stopped and I started to sign on. Once everything looked like it was ready to go I would click on an icon (say Mozilla) and it would take me directly to another site. It also would not let me log off by using the shut down, logoff, restart etc menu. Is this a battery problem or ???? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
