Hi I think this is the right place to ask but on my VERY old compaq laptop
The touch pad pointer wont work,
on the control panel in the mouse options it says that the only hardware installed is for a:
ps/2 compatible mouse.
how can i fix this?

all I know is that its a compaq and it has armada on the cover, I has XP sp2 on it (I haven't got round to putting sp3 on it yet)
