I experience major lag for atleast 1 min or less whenever i make the computer runs hard, like playing game, watch DVDs or even burning a CD. I tried formatting it and still didnt work. Just bought a new hard drive and problem still exist. I am thinking about trying a new graphic card, but that might not work also. I am thinking it's somethin to do with the mother board, but i cant figure out what. I've been trying for 6 months or more to figure out this problem, maybe someone out there can help me. ANY input would be helpful.

Thank You

change the ram. make sure the jumpers are set for the correct processor and ram on the mobo (motherboard). Having the wrong ram can hang you up. and also the jumper settings.

In Device Manager, navigate to the Primary and Secondary hard drive contollers.

They should be set to "DMA if available" for both channels.
