I started having a problem recently where I would get some vertical lines appearing on my screen. Occasionally they would just flash then disappear. Over the last month or so the problem has increased and now I have 5 vertical lines down my monitor, each line is about 1" wide.

When booting up, the bios information is also garbled
~ in fact the problem has just reappeared so it's difficult to type anything.

So far, I have replaced the monitor and cables ~ no difference
replaced the graphics card ~no difference
replaced the Power supply unit ~ no difference
I have tried removing, cleaning everything I can and made sure everything is saeted properly.
I'm left with the conclusion it's either the motherboard or the CPU
can anyone give me any clues here ?

I'm running WinXp SP2
Leadtek K7NCR18D Pro2 M/b
AMD Athlon XP3200 (32 bit)
Radeon All in Wonder 9800 SE Graphics
all latest drivers are installed

did you try a different monitor cable?
