Hi guyz got a

AMD Athlon 1800
768 DDR Ram
40GB Harddrive
128MB GeForce4 MX 440

It started one day switched the computer off normally and came to switch it on again later, nothing happened on the screen or anything just go a siren of high and low frequency sounds coming from the internal speaker, researched this post noise and found it was a cpu error.

Replace the cpu today with no luck the screen still says no signal but the siren has stopped so at least i know the cpu is now fine , but any clues as to what it could be. Starting to think that the motherboard may be frazzled now.

i'm guessin from reading further through this that it is more than likely to be my motherboard, looks like time for a new computer.
