OK got a 120GB hard drive, bios see's it, windows XP is installed to it all is fine. On SATA 2 is a 300GB I wanna use for storage. BIOS sees it, windows doesn't. I've installed the chipset that came with the motherboard. What am I missing????

Does it show up in disk manager or device manager?
If it's brand new, that means that no partitions have been created. Windows explorer doesn't show HARD DRIVES but PARTITIONS ON THEM. So, if your 300 GB disk has no partition, nothing of it gets to be shown in windows explorer. Create partition via disk manager and format it (NTFS, ofcourse).
