Hi,
I have an Iqon 8050Q in for repair. The machine belongs to a friend and he says that he tried to upgrade the processor but used the wrong type. When he changed back to the original chip the power light flashed once then went off.

I have just put it all back together again after having a look inside making sure that all the connections and drives are secure. When going to power up the power light blinks once then nothing. I have removed the keyboard to see what is happening at the heatsink when the power button is depressed and the fan attempts to spin then stops.

Can anybody out there give me a clue as to what may be the cause? I'm thinking along the lines of dead MB but can't be sure. i have tried two processors both of which are the correct type for the board. Celeron 1.4/1M/400.

Thanking you in advance
