Am I doing something wrong? I've instaled the driver and everything, but whenever I try to print anything windows displays this message "Printer status cannot be displayed with the port that is currently being used." can anyone help me? I really need to make it work this weekend.

I've tried every port I have. The thing is this. If I let the instalation run automated detection it doesn't. So I tell it what port I am using. This may be one issue. Another problem that a friend that tried to help pointed out is that the printer won't take any paper, that is it won't suck the sheet of paper. It's supposed to do this even if the printer isn't connected to the compuetr right?
