upon closing the case of a computer after cleaning out the dust we have found that the comp will no longer boot, or if it does, it does with a series of HIGH and LOW beeps. we have also gotten a msg saying that the cpu is unworkable. we booted the defult bios which in turn cause the series of endless high and low beeps. any suggestions. thanx!! in advance

Try to reseat the CPU first... If it still beeps... CHECK all the capacitors on the Motherboard (If it swoolen OR it is leaking acid = Your M/Brd is shot). Work your way back to the having only the M/Board, CPU & RAM only hooked in. Remove all the other devices i.e. HDD's, ROMS, etc
