I just installed a western digital slave drive in my pc.
When I reboot the found new hardware wizard pops up.
I have formatted the slave drive and I still get the wizard.
I have checked the Master/Slave connections on the drives and they are correct.
Does anyone have an answer?

hmmm, you didn't mention how or where you formatted. the prob. could still be a bad Y cable (the cable itself could be bad) connection and/or incorrect jumper settings on the master and slave drive.

I formatted the drive in computer management > disk management.
I will check the master/slave jumpers again and if it does not work
set the jumpers to Cable Select later on tonight.
