i bought a dell machine and anytime i leave it on for an hour or so this amber light come on and the machine cannot boot unless i leave it for overnight. how can i over come this problem.

you can make it so it doesnt sleep by going into Power Options under control panel and setting "System Standby" to "Never"

but at times when u leave it on for lets say an hr u come back and see the amber light blinking. its really worryin me and pls help me out. thanks

You should get in BIOS and see what wakes it up.... It might be that nothing can wake it up.... I wake my machine up with power button.
