hi, my default web browser is set to about:blank and I cant change it. I think it may have something to do with istbar that I had on here but I think that is gone now. but I'm not sure. Update hijackthis to version 1.98.2. If you haven't done so already, also consider scanning with Adaware and Spybot and let them fix what they find. Also, have you read through some of the other threads dealing with about:blank? You might want to do that while you are waiting to hear from one of the experts on your log.

ChrisMeats, make sure to download the latest updates for Adaware and Spybot.

I would also recommend giving CWShredder a try.
