Hi and welcome to the Daniweb forums :).

==========

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

The log can also be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
Or at C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

Post new HJT log.

This is the new log after a Malwarebytes and Symantec scan. I think it's pretty similar. I've had Malwarebytes for a while, but now every time I do a scan and delete everything it picks up, I do a scan immediately after and it finds the exact same things it was supposed to have just deleted.

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE

  • You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
  • Physically disconnect from the internet.
  • Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
  • Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
  • Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Run Combofix ONCE only!!

Looks good from here. How is your pc now?

I think it's completely fixed. Thank you so much for your help!

You are welcome :).

Let's get rid of Combofix now that we are finished with it. Click START then RUN
Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the /, it needs to be there.

I went to start, run and then typed in:
ComboFix /u
I get a message that says
"Windows cannot find 'ComboFix'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."

That is probably because you saved it to your 'My Music' folder instead of the desktop where I asked you to save it.
Why did you save it there?

Move it to the desktop and run the uninstall process again.

I saved it there accidently; my internet automatically saves everything there.

I still can't find it because I think last night I tried to move it from my music to my desktop and it only created a shortcut. I just searched ComboFix in the search and deleted anything called Combofix...does this work too?

Nooo. Combofix makes changes to the operating system that are reversed when it is correctly uninstalled.

my internet automatically saves everything there

You are given the option of where you want to save to when you start the download. I specifically noted that you must save it to the desktop.
Did you delete it before I gave the uninstall instruction?

You may have to download it again, run it, then uninstall it as per my instructions.

I moved it out of my music folder before you gave the uninstall instruction...I may have deleted it then, I'm not sure.

I re-downloaded it to my desktop and then did the run --> Combofix /u.
It uninstalled it.

Cool :)

Thank you so much for everything. My computer is working perfectly now

You are welcome :).
