hi, everytime i open my computer, or anyother folder, or IE the screen seem to clears (as in all the icon and taskbar disappear) and a few seconds later return to the way it was, but the folder/web brower is not opened. I'm not sure what to do and I NEED to finish this major project, and it'll be a hassle if i have to open everything through word document.

Here's my hijackthis log: (i hope i did it right)

Nice outcome — reported the problem fixed after ’s removal steps. A couple of immediate reminders: treat credentials as potentially exposed (change passwords for banking, email and other sensitive accounts) and do that from a known‑clean device; enable two‑factor authentication where available and watch bank/credit activity closely. Government guidance recommends resetting account credentials after removing malware. (cisa.gov)

A short verification checklist to be confident the system is clean:

  • Run one or more current, on‑demand scanners (portable/offline rescue media are useful when an AV can’t complete a removal).
  • Inspect all autostart/persistence locations (startup folders, Run/RunOnce keys, scheduled tasks, services, BHOs and Winlogon notifications) with a comprehensive autoruns tool and disable anything you don’t recognize.
  • Perform a rootkit scan to look for kernel‑level persistence that standard scanners can miss.
  • Scan any backups or removable drives before restoring files; if the same symptoms recur, plan a clean OS reinstall and restore only scanned data.

For tools and techniques that support those steps see the vendor guidance for on‑demand scanning, autoruns/autostart inspection, and rootkit checks. (learn.microsoft.com)

Hardening after a cleanup: install all OS and application updates, remove unused browser toolbars and legacy plugins, run daily activity under a non‑administrative account, enable a host firewall and scheduled full scans, and keep offline backups. If system instability or unexpected autoruns continue after multiple scans, a full wipe and reinstall is the safest option — documented vendor guidance covers when reimaging is appropriate. (microsoft.com)

If anything reappears, document exact symptoms (process names, file paths, times) before running more tools. If uncertain, consider getting hands‑on help from a trusted technician; lingering credential theft or kernel persistence is best handled with care.

Please? Anyone?

You have some old junk, but unfortunately you also have a password stealing trojan. We shall remove it. But first may i suggest that you use another clean? computer to change your banking passwords? And i shall get back to you on the fix pretty smartly.

You must be in an Administrator-privileged account to run this procedure...
To begin with I want you to download these softwares [and update where applicable]; they are all free...
===I would like you to download CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ and put it in a new folder. You should aim to keep this one for general use. I set it from the install checkboxes to only open from the recycle bin. It's just a neater thing.
===Get Adaware SE Personal from
- install it. Update it. Explore what settings you can change in it [via the cogwheel icon up top, if you are comfortable with that... you won't hurt anything, but it runs well with the default settings]. Put an icon on your desktop for regular use.
===GET AVG antispyware 7.5 here.. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5 -the link is almost at the bottom of the page , avgas 7.5.0.50. Install it and update it.
Did you really ask for/install TenCent? If not, go to add/remove pgms in control panel and uninstall it. I suggest that you do...

Open HijackThis and select box None of the above, just start the program. Next go Config > Misc Tools > Open process manager. From the list, check C:\nwnmff_15.exe if present, and Kill Process. Close HijackThis.
Download this temp file cleaner from http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1 -click the file to run it, go Select all, and then Empty Selected, and finally close ATF.
Download Avenger from here http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip -unzip it to your desktop and start it; select “Input script manually” and then click the magnifying glass icon. Paste into the box this line:-
C:\WINNT\system32\ipv6motq.dll
...and click Done, and finally the green light. Follow promps to reboot your machine, and go into Safe Mode. [press F8 as system runs POST and detects IDE drives...]
Run hijackthis ie do a scan, and then check the following for fixing, if they exist:

Now start AVG a-s7.5; under Scanner/ Settings set Recommended actions to Delete, and run the scan. Apply all actions.
Run Adaware and remove all problems it finds.
Restart your puter in normal mode, and see if all is ok. Run hijackthis again and post the new log.

Finally:_Java update!!! go control panel, java, update, press update now. Restart after installing the update, and then go into control panel again, add/remove pgms and remove all old versions of java. Vsn is current....

Everything seems fine now, Thank you. =]
