I have an external Modem that I am using to post to this forum. But the suse plugger a hardware tool says my microcom deskporte56k voice modem is not configured and will not let me configure it. When I try to use yast to configure it it only configures it for use with the internet. I send and recieve 5 to 6 faxes a week and don't like to reboot to windows xp home to do this. I have tried to install several fax applications but am not able to get them to work. since I am very new to linux I need step by step help to get my system to operate the faxing capabilities I need. I am so new to this that I don't even know how to ask the right questions to get help.
