I "d like to build freebsd mail server in my organization.
I've installed postfix by following instruction. http://www.sima-it.com/en/how_to_step_by_step/freeBSD/Postfix_with_system_users/2_qpopper_mc_postfix/
I tested it by outlook., pop3 works but smtp shows error.
So I have 2 questions:
1. How do I check my mails by outlook?
2. I also want to check my mails by accessing webbased mail from anywhere and at anytime for example: squirrelmail ...etc
How do I combine squirrelmail or other webbased mail software with postfix?

hello, I'm author of this tutorial.
1) Why don't your install postfix with MySQL?
2) show your main.cf

1) if you have the right access (Smtp and POP3) it will work without any problem but if you use an SSH access or Secure port :you must configure your outlook by the same way.this is a good tuto:http://www.hostmysite.com/support/email/outlook/
2) for your webmail use horde and here a tuto ...enjoy
