have just managed to erase the hard drive of my Mac PB 1400 so that when I try to re-install Mac os 8 from original system disk I get message 'there is no destination disk'. HELP ANY IDEAS FOLKS ?

hm, did you try the First Aid to check your harddrive or another check disk utility?
